Last week I harvested Basil. We had it fresh, I made pesto, I made a basil simple syrup and I dried the rest. What is your favorite way to preserve basil?
I have included fresh Thyme and Basil in this bowl. Thyme has properties that help you recover from viruses and Basil has an antioxidant (linalool) which is antiviral, antibacterial and pain reducing. A delicious recovery bowl for colds and flu.
1/2 cup frozen strawberries
1/4 cup of Flaxseed milk (or almond milk)
1 1/2 tbsp. of hulled hemp seeds (hemp hearts)
fresh thyme leaves
1 large basil leaf ( tear into little pieces )
add all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth
Fresh sliced strawberries
Fresh banana slices
fresh thyme and basil
optional: sprinkle of granola
